Loren Yagoda and Andy Byrnes join forces to champion Phoenix’s contemporary art scene, both bring new gallery spaces to Central Phoenix and North Scottsdale

Feb. 6 b-art gallery launches inaugural solo exhibition featuring a retrospective of Yagoda’s abstract, modernist works to showcase the gallery as a new home for contemporary artists

PHOENIX – (January 30, 2026) – Loren Yagoda and Andy Byrnes, both key figures in Phoenix’s contemporary art scene, are working together on the first solo contemporary art exhibition hosted at the new b-art gallery in Phoenix. The event opens Feb. 6 from 3-7 p.m. at 2221 E. Washington St., Phoenix 85034.

The b-art gallery launched in December and is an industrial, modern space near downtown Phoenix. Led by Andy Byrnes of Construction Zone Ltd., b-art is a new project of Byrnes who is an advocate for contemporary art in Arizona. Byrnes and his architecture firm work regularly with local interior designers, architects and artists for his unique builds. He is a collector and artist as well. Loren Yagoda, who is a long-time colleague of Andy’s, and a modernist abstract artist, is presenting her first solo exhibition at b-art entitled Full Circle: Looking Back to Move Forward. This retrospective brings together selected past works alongside Loren’s newest series, reflecting a return to the quiet, architectural sensibility that shaped her earliest years as an artist. It’s a thoughtful look at continuity, refinement and the shared language of art and structure. The Feb. 6 exhibition event is a rare opportunity for Yagoda’s fans to see her latest original works and engage with the artist directly. This is on the heels of Yagoda’s own launch of the collaborative gallery ART & Company, a women-founded space that Loren, along with her protégé daughter and business manager Jobie Summer Yagoda, opened with partners next to the Scottsdale Quarter in December. “Andy was my advocate from the beginning. Decades ago, he gave me a leg up in the industry by setting up a studio for me on the street level of his Construction Zone space. He believed in me and helped pull the best out of my work,” said Yagoda. “Now I have the opportunity to support Andy’s passion project with this exhibition to highlight the opening of his b-art gallery in central Phoenix.”

“Creating intentional spaces with purpose is important to me. The b-art gallery is designed to be organic and ever-evolving, showcasing a diverse mix of emerging local artists alongside established names,” said Byrnes. “Our space is a curated, high-end gallery with a distinctly approachable energy. Beyond exhibitions, it’s intended as a flexible creative hub for events, studios, and future collaborations. Loren is a perfect person for our first exhibition and an incredible artist to work with.”

Byrnes is the president and founder of the design / build firm The Construction Zone in Phoenix. For more than 30 years, his role as lead architect has earned him many awards for a range of finely crafted, unique modern architectural projects ranging from high-end residences, commercial buildings, and restaurants across the country.
