The Seafood Market & Restaurant a local hangout for local seniors is best described as an upgraded Denny’s restaurant. The food is just OK but what really stands out are the service people and the owner. One waiter says he doesn’t eat fish while the owner says he’s allergic to seafood. This isn’t good when the wait staff and the owner don’t eat there. The owner has no bartender so all the wait staff pour their own drinks for the customers. It seems difficult for someone not to be able to make a Bloody Mary since they have a premix Bottle yet they managed to make it undrinkable, not sure what was mixed into that drink. If a restaurant can’t have a bartender perhaps it’s better not to have a bar. There is no consistency in drink mixing here. With the shortage of wait staff while they are friendly, it’s clear their previous job was at a Denny’s as they fly by tables with dirty dishes and yell at their customers “everything good?” Actually sometimes they do stop at your table but with a handful of dirty dishes and then try to get more dishes off your own table. This is a clear sign of bad management or just someone who doesn’t care about proper service for their customers. If you are looking for a 2nd grade restaurant that stole every trick in the book for sloppy service from Denny’s then here it is. BTW they just raised their prices so it’s 3-4 times higher then a Denny’s. Can we say more, sure:

• Clam Chowder Excellent but they can’t afford a Pepper Mill
• Trout very good and even better when they get Red Mountain Trout
• Clam Strips are shown on their Web site but hasn’t been available for 6 months
• Seafood Gumbo way too salty as if no one in the kitchen even tasted it before serving it
• Caesar salad is a hit and miss
• Coleslaw straight out of a Costco Jar with preservative chemical smell and taste

Honestly, the menu items are over priced, and the bonus is you get a Denny’s wait staff.
